Taking Care of YOU!
TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF is SO important for everyone but especially for us busy moms. If you are not taking care of YOU, how can you be your BEST SELF to take care of those around you? This is something I really stopped doing after I had baby #2. Let me tell you my story......
When my boys were 3 and 18 months old I had to get some bloodwork done for a life insurance policy. My cholesterol levels came back extremely high! At first I was shocked, and then I got to thinking...I was never making time to exercise, I was still 2 sizes and 12 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight, I was not watching what I was eating...most days I would eat off the kids plates and throw in a frozen pizza for dinner because I was just too tired to do anything else. No wonder my cholesterol was high, I was not taking care of the body God had given me.

➡I was always tired, just looking for the next opportunity to nap
➡I was not spending adequate time with God because all I thought I needed was sleep
➡I was very impatient with my kids, especially my oldest at the time
➡Having sex with my husband felt like something I HAD to do, like a chore to check of my list once or twice a month, always making the excuse of being to tired and not feeling attractive
I was really struggling, and it took that blood test to open my eyes! I was 30 years old with high cholesterol?! Crazy!
So I knew I had to do something! I had to make a change, I wanted to be healthy, to be better for my family. I had tried the gym, but it was too expensive plus difficult to make it there with two little ones and a husband that worked really long hours. I needed something that was quick and easy from home and I really needed NUTRITIONAL support! You see the fact I lost the weight is really just a perk, it is the way I feel, the confidence gained, the fact that I have grabbed control of my life instead of letting life control me, THAT it was truly matters!
So now, to help others who are in the same situation I was in, I run online accountability groups to help women get started on this same program that changed my life! It is my way of paying it forward, helping women to take care of the bodies God has given them!
